We hope no one was expecting a huge, star-studded ceremony featuring the Avengers and the Guardians Of The Galaxy on one side of the aisle, and the Terminator and the Kennedys on the other.
It sounds like Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are content to keep their wedding quite small.
A source told People the couple are in total agreement about their ceremony:
“Chris and Katherine’s wedding will be a very intimate affair with just their closest loved ones.”
Of course, speaking of celebrities, even just family would make the event a paparazzo’s payday.
Katherine is the daughter of action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger and news anchor Maria Shriver, while Chris’ ex-wife is Mom star Anna Faris.
But they’re hoping to keep the media to a minimum. The source says:
“They don’t want it to be a circus.”
But it will be a petting zoo… Ha!
But seriously, it makes sense if you think about it. After all, as we mentioned, this is Chris’ second marriage — and it’s not unusual for folks to tone it way down the second time around.
And for Chris toning down would mean going microscopic!
His 2009 wedding to Anna Faris was also an intimate affair — the two were vacationing in Bali when they saw their hotel did weddings and decided spur of the moment to take the plunge!
It’s also worth mentioning while Chris and Katherine may be incredibly famous, they’ve kept their relationship fairly private. They just seem to have more personal priorities.
The insider explained:
“The focus will be their commitment to each other, and God will play a very large role on their big day. It’s been such a special time not just for them, but also for their families. Everyone is so excited.”
So where are they going to have this teeny tiny little gathering? A source previously told E! News the couple has somewhere “special” in mind:
“They are thinking about Martha’s Vineyard which is a special place for Katherine and where she spent a lot of time growing up. Chris wants her to have her perfect day and whatever she wants. It will be a big wedding and very traditional.”
It sounds like Katherine is taking the reins on this one — but she isn’t going Bridezilla.
The way she tells it, everyone is pitching in. She told ET Online last month:
“I mean, I feel like we’re all really involved in wedding planning. I think that, you know, for me my family is very involved. I’m very involved, [Chris is] very involved so it’s a great combination of everything and just a really exciting and fun [time].”
